A great tragedy in the USA. Three American soldiers have died in a horrific accident. While driving on the highway, they suddenly fell off a cliff in San Francisco, approximately 120 metres high. Shocking photos of the car drifting in the water quickly appeared online.

The accident occurred on Friday on the famous Highway 1, which runs along the Pacific coast and is known for its sharp turns and steep coastal cliffs. It is the longest state route in California and the second longest in the country.

Three American soldiers died on this dangerous route. According to the "Daily Mail," they were 36-year-old Brylyn Aroma from Kansas, 29-year-old Mohammad Noory, and 28-year-old Angelica Gacho, who recently lived in San Francisco. They were all in a small, two-door car which drifted in the water after the accident.

American media have published photos of the wreck. Rescuers managed to retrieve two bodies immediately. The third victim was found in the car only on Saturday. Earlier, the operation had been halted due to severe weather conditions. To find the accident victims, authorities stopped traffic on the highway and launched a rescue operation.

It was a recovery mission, and it was steep cliffs and tough terrain. The car was partially submerged, so our rescuers were taking on waves - nypost.com quotes one of the search group members.

American soldiers died. Who were the victims?

According to reports from NBC Bay Area, Noory was most likely behind the wheel, working as an Uber driver at the time of the accident. The man is known to have come from Afghanistan. Now, his friends want to raise money for his family. In his homeland, he was an interpreter for the American Army. In 2021, he obtained a visa and came to the USA.

According to the Daily Mail, Angelica Gacho was a communications specialist in the army. In April, she got engaged to her fiancé, Brylyn Aroma, a medic stationed at Fort Riley in Kansas. In March 2023, the 63rd Armored Regiment awarded her the "Dragon of the Week."

The highway mentioned is extremely dangerous. There have been accidents there in the past—even intentional ones. It is rare for someone to survive an accident at this location. We always go there when cars fall off the cliff, and people usually don't survive. If they do, it would be an absolute miracle. California search group members are quoted by USA Today.
