New York rapper Isaac Freeman III, known as Fatman Scoop, died at the age of 53 after collapsing on stage. The dramatic events occurred on Friday evening (August 30) during a concert at Town Center Park in Hamden, Connecticut. The performance turned out to be the last in the 53-year-old's career.
As reported by the BBC, the rapper lost consciousness halfway through his performance. Meanwhile, "The Guardian" mentions a video published on platform X showing how the musician fell behind the DJ booth. Moments earlier, the rapper was encouraging concertgoers to "make some noise." For a moment, the audience thought the dramatic events unfolding on stage were part of the show.
Mayor Lauren Garett stated in a Facebook post that the rapper was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Unfortunately, his life could not be saved. The information about the 53-year-old rapper's death was confirmed by, among others, his family.
