A sweet surprise: Indulgent chocolate rice cream recipe

In-store refrigerators, you'll find many flavours of rice desserts, including those with chocolate. However, this simple dessert is completely different, resembling chocolate cream or mousse. Surprise your loved ones with this unusual rice treat.

If you have a bit of leftover rice in the fridge, this is a perfect opportunity to try this straightforward dessert. You only need a few ingredients: the aforementioned rice, chocolate, water, and cocoa. The end result is very chocolatey and truly delicious. If you're concerned that the rice will be noticeable, you will certainly be surprised.

Rice with apples is probably familiar to everyone, as it's one of the most popular childhood desserts. Here, the white grains transform into a velvety, decadent cream definitely worth a sweet indulgence. It's a great way to use up leftovers from the fridge and avoid wasting food.

After taking it out of the fridge, the cream is quite hard and dense. If you want it to be smooth and mousse-like, take it out earlier and give it some time at room temperature.

Ingredients:

• 250 grams of dark chocolate,
• 1 cup of cooked rice,
• 120 millilitres of hot water,
• 4 tablespoons of cocoa powder.

Preparation method:

Step 1: In a blender, place the cooked and cooled rice. Add the hot water and melted dark chocolate from a water bath or microwave. Blend everything into a uniform mass.

Step 2: Transfer the ready mousse into a mould, bowls, or other containers. Place in the fridge for 2 hours.

Step 3: Take the mould out of the fridge and decorate the chocolate cream with cocoa. If you want it to be softer, wait a bit after taking it out of the fridge to let it soften. Perfect for spooning as a dessert. Enjoy!
