Pablo Ceppelini is an experienced football player from Uruguay. The 32-year-old has played for teams like Italy's Cagliari Calcio, Romania's Universitatea Cluj, Slovenia's NK Maribor, and Mexico's Cruz Azul.

Pablo Ceppelini joined Atletico Nacional at the beginning of this year. He returned to the club after a four-year absence and is currently playing in the Colombian top league, among other competitions.

The Uruguayan will remember for a long time the last game in which Atletico Nacional drew 2:2 with Independiente Medellin. This prestigious rivalry attracted over 40,000 fans to the stadium in Medellin. One person in the stands behaved in a simply reprehensible way.

In the injury time of the game, a knife thrown from the stands hit Pablo Ceppelini in the head. From the available online footage, it can be assessed that it was rather a small pocket knife. Regardless, the situation was very dangerous.

The player, who was preparing to take a corner kick, painfully felt the hit to his head. Luckily, the Uruguayan did not sustain serious injuries and could finish the match.

The incident was closely witnessed by the female assistant referee standing about a yard away. She was the first to realize that a knife had been thrown towards the pitch. So far, it is unknown whether the aggressor will be punished and whether the host of the game, Independiente Medellin, will face any consequences.
