A festive twist: Gypsy-style herring surprises with ketchup
Herring with ketchup? I couldn't accept such a combination for a long time, but when I gave it a chance, I realized it made sense. Gypsy-style herring is a delicious snack that complements any party or festive meal. Its preparation is incredibly easy!
The upcoming Christmas holidays are an opportunity to catch up with family and the perfect time for gentle culinary experiments. Of course, one of the snacks worth placing on the festive table is herring. For many years, I only relied on tried-and-tested recipes, and herring in cream or Kashubian style was an obvious choice. For some time now, I've been opting for different solutions, and although I don’t neglect old habits, the new, mandatory festive dish has become Gypsy-style herring.
The recipe for this delicious dish initially seemed strange to me, but—as I already mentioned—herring, ketchup, and a few other ingredients turned out to be a fantastic and delicious combination. Brilliant simplicity: these two words perfectly describe Gypsy-style herring. I guarantee that you will enjoy this snack as well.
